My Honest Experience with Total Bath . Please Read Before Hiring
Like many homeowners, I came to Yelp to read reviews and do my research before hiring Total Bath. The sales rep, Chuck, seemed trustworthy and even mentioned possibly knowing my late father, which made me feel comfortable moving forward. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced.
Despite giving clear instructions not to touch my shower head unless upgrading it, they replaced it with a noticeably cheaper model without permission. The crew showed up unprepared, didn’t know the full scope of the job, and seemed unaware that my vanity and mirror were part of the installation. I had to supply my own vanity, mirror, faucet, and lighting, yet the overall cost stayed high, which made little sense.
The workmanship was unacceptable. The caulking cracked and separated within days, the water pressure dropped throughout my home, and the company refused to fix it. When I expressed my concerns, management was defensive and dismissive instead of professional or accountable. The manager, Justin, even ended our conversation abruptly when I asked for proper resolution.
To make matters worse, they promote a “vacation package” through Destination Motivation that’s only redeemable if you leave a 5-star review, a deceptive tactic that inflates their ratings and misleads future customers.
After spending thousands of dollars, I’m left with subpar results, frustration, and a lack of trust in their integrity. A bathroom remodel should leave you relieved, not regretful.
Total Bath overpromised, underdelivered, and failed to take responsibility. If you value your home and peace of mind, look elsewhere. Buyer beware.
Update: After posting my review, the owner had the branch manager call me. I was told they would “return, reimburse the shower head, and provide the vacation voucher” only if I removed my review. I will not delete an honest review before problems are fixed. We set a date for them to come back, they didn’t show up.
Conditioning basic remediation or reimbursement on removing a review is not only unprofessional, it’s manipulative. Pair that with a no-show and the original workmanship issues, and it’s clear this company lacks accountability. I do not recommend Total Bath.
