I worked with a shop to replace the motor in my car. After over a year of problems with the check engine light in the motor, it was discovered that “Shop Name” had sent the wrong motor for my car. (Kia motor, Hyundai car) Rather than expedite a solution they stonewalled, they argued, and they were rude; especially the “supervisor.” When I spoke to him he literally screamed at me, “are you the customer, are you the customer?” He was attempting to evade Fraser’s gross negligence because I was only the recipient of the wrong motor but it was the mechanic who was the actual customer. I was somewhat surprised by this interaction given that my research indicated this was a family-owned business for 100 years. I do recognize however that it was probably generations of people before the supervisor I spoke took over who built the company and now the nepotism of grandchildren who didn’t do any of the work has probably come home to roost. Whatever the reason if you’re considering purchasing an engine please save yourself the headache and look somewhere else.
